Submission guidelines
Submission of cruise information
Cruise information should be delivered the TASC Data Management Office
one week ahead of the cruise. You can submit the info either as a document
sent by e-mail etc., or you can fill in our submission
form. The information will be made avaliable on the web pages.
Submission of ROSCOP (cruise summary reports)
ROSCOP (cruise summary reports) should be submitted (to the Coordinating
Office in Tromsø/ICES) one week after the cruise.
Submission of cruise reports
Cruise reports should be delivered within one month after the cruise. The
report should go th the Coordinating Office in Tromsø, which will
pass them through to us. We will make the reports avaliable on the web
pages.
Submission of data
The data transfer is preferably done by anonumous ftp to our server. For
information please contact Kjell Bakkeplass.
Format
We prefer to use our own (Institute of Marine Research, Bergen) format
as file exchange format for CTD and zooplankton data, as this simplifies
the process of including/extracting data in/from the database. You are
therefore encouraged to submitt your data on this format. If, however,
it is time consuming for you to re-format your data, you can make a deliver
in the format you prefer.
For nutrients and chlorophyll a data we suggest that the data
is added to the CTD files like shown in the example.

Qualiy control
At delivery, we will highly appreciate it if you inform us of the status
of your data. That is;

What kind of sampling equipment has been used?

Has the sampling been performed in accordance with the TASC
sampling protocols?

Have the data been calibrated?
If any additional quality control has been performed, please let
us know.
